Reflections: Divided, 2003
Divided was created for the 2nd Anniversary of the tragic events of September 11th in New York City. The project was presented in Amber Gallery, from September 2nd to 11th, 2003 in NYC.
Divided reflects on my shifting emotions of anger, love, pity, understanding and confusion after September 11, 2001. It presents a split image of oneself, questioning one's own strong opinions in regard to that tragic day and in regard to the direction the United States took following the September 11th attacks.
Installation setup: Divided is a laptop computer installation mounted on a wall, which analyzes live video signal and outputs it as manipulated image on the screen. The installation reflects the viewer in real time engaging him or her in the process of creation. This installation was part of a group exhibit organized by Amber Gallery.
Concept, design and development: Przemysław Moskal
